Extracting coordinates of catheter snapshots (CARTO)

Hi,

Is there a way to extract the coordinates of electrodes captured in catheter snapshots from CARTO? I know that data is exposed in the timeline and CARTO keeps a memory of catheter positions across the entire case history. Is this functionality currently possible in OpenEP? The use case is for retrospectively localizing catheters that are not integrated to the mapping system. Sometimes we use a non-BWI catheter, tag an area of interest with a snapshot/shadow since we can’t “take a point” with no integrated catheters.

If this isn’t currently available can you point me in the right direction of how I might access this form the study data exports? If I need to develop a module I’m happy to contribute it to the repo.

Thanks!

Hi Jsalas,

Unfortunately, this is not currently a feature of OpenEP; but it is also something that we would like to include for one of our own research studies. I haven’t honestly noticed the snapshot data in the export files (unlike some of the other mapping systems) so it may not be currently possible.

If you would like to start by checking the XML/TXT files and if you can find any reference to the snapshots we could go from there. I’m copying in @kest too who is leading on the importer code at the moment.
